The itinerary can be modified according to the days for the expeditions, we recommend coming one day before, the flights can also be modified according to the weather since this is provided by the air group number 42 of Iquitos (Peruvian Air Force).

Day 1: Iquitos -  Colonia Angamos

  • Morning: Departure time to grupo aéreo ( air forcé nro 42 ) by public airplane  aprox, 45 minutes
  • Afternoon: Stay in colonia Angamos
  • Evening: Welcome dinner in colonia Angamos y talk about the trip to next days

Day 2: Colonia Angamos – Buen Peru Commnutity “the matses tribes”

  • Morning: Continue traveling by boat, entering the Galvez river, enjoying the scenery, wildlife spotting,
  • Travel from colonia Angamos by boat aprox 6 hours
  • Afternoon: Stay at Buena Peru, the matses tribes
  • Evening: Sleeping in a local matses house.

Day 3: the Matsés Culture

  • Full Day: Cultural activities with the matses
  • Evening: hiking at night to look for the monkey for the kambo ceremony  .

Day 4: Matsés Territory

  • Morning: Meet the community members and receive a traditional welcome.
  • Afternoon: The matses cultures
  • Evening: Orientation about Matsés culture and traditions.
  • Daily Activities:
    • Hiking and Exploration: Guided walks through the rainforest to learn about the local flora and fauna.
    • Cultural Workshops: Participate in workshops on traditional crafts, hunting techniques, and medicinal plant usage.
    • Fishing and Hunting: Join the Matsés in fishing and hunting activities using traditional methods.

Day 15: Return to Iquitos

  • Morning: Continue traveling back to Nauta.
  • Afternoon: Transfer by vehicle from Nauta to Iquitos.
  • Evening: Farewell dinner in Iquitos and reflection on the journey.
